Recover & Thrive is developing a connected health platform that brings together health information, personalised insights and collaborative care to help people better understand their health over time.

We're inviting patients and carers to help shape the platform through our founding Patient Beta Programme.

The Problem

Today, people often navigate health challenges with fragmented information, disconnected services and limited visibility into what happens between appointments

Health data is fragmented across clinics, apps, wearables and patient notes. Most systems provide isolated snapshots in time, rather than a continuous picture of recovery

Whether managing cognitive changes, recovery from illness, long-term conditions or everyday wellbeing, important patterns can be missed

Patients are left navigating complex symptoms without clarity

Clinicians face incomplete information, rising administrative burden and limited tools for tracking subtle health changes over time, making it harder to make informed decisions and achieve better outcomes

Carers are unable to effectively and efficiently support the patient on their health journey

As conditions such as neurodegenerative disease, Traumatic Brain Injury and Long COVID continue to rise, there is an urgent need for a more integrated, personalised and proactive approach to health care and recovery

The Challenge

  • Reactive Testing: Standard assessments often catch issues only once a crisis has manifested
  • Data Fragmentation: Health data is often locked in silos that the patient does not own or control

Healthcare sees snapshots. Patients live trajectories

This can lead to:

  • delayed insight
  • missed contributing factors
  • duplicated assessments
  • communication gaps
  • medication burden
  • poorer quality of life

Patients and carers are frequently left trying to coordinate care themselves

Recover & Thrive is being developed to help connect cognition, behaviour and health data into a clearer, more longitudinal understanding of recovery and health change over time

Who is Recover and Thrive For?

Clinicians & Healthcare Professionals

Support patients with better longitudinal health insights between appointments and contribute to shaping the future of personalised healthcare

Individuals Seeking Better Health Outcomes

Understand changes in your health, wellbeing and recovery over time through a more connected and personalised approach

Family Members & Carers

Help support loved ones through improved visibility, communication and shared understanding of health journeys

Partners & Organisations

Collaborate to help shape the future of personalised health, prevention and recovery

Existing systems only solve part of the problem

Wearables generate data, but rarely explain what it means clinically. Wellness apps improve engagement, but often lack medical depth

Clinical assessments are episodic and can miss subtle changes that emerge gradually over time

People living with complex, chronic or cognitive conditions often leave appointments with unanswered questions and little support between consultations

Recover & Thrive is being developed to bring together patient-reported outcomes, wearable data, biomarkers and clinical insight into one connected, longitudinal view of health

Understanding Health Beyond Symptoms

Many health challenges emerge gradually over time

Changes in cognition, energy, sleep, wellbeing and daily function are often experienced long before they are visible through traditional healthcare pathways

Recover & Thrive aims to help individuals, clinicians and carers better understand these changes through longitudinal tracking, personalised insights and more connected care

One of our initial areas of focus is cognitive wellbeing, including the challenges many people experience during perimenopause and menopause

A More Complete Picture of Health

Recover & Thrive is being developed to bring together multiple dimensions of health and wellbeing into a single longitudinal view

Including:

  • Sleep
  • Energy
  • Symptoms
  • Functional Capacity
  • Emotional Wellbeing
  • Self-Efficacy
  • Biomarker Data
  • Wearable Data
  • Patient Reported Outcomes
  • Clinician Insights

This creates a more connected understanding of health, recovery and wellbeing over time

Artificial Intelligence is being integrated to work quietly in the background to identify meaningful patterns, support decision-making and surface insights that may otherwise be missed. Our platform is designed to help identify meaningful changes over time - supporting earlier intervention, more personalised care and better recovery insight

One Connected View of Health

Health doesn't happen in isolated appointments

People move between GPs, specialists, hospitals, diagnostics, pharmacies, community services and home—often carrying fragmented information with them. Recover & Thrive is being developed to connect these touchpoints into a shared, longitudinal view of health, helping individuals, clinicians and carers make more informed decisions together

Rather than replacing existing healthcare systems, Recover & Thrive is designed to complement them by supporting continuity of care, collaboration and a more complete understanding of health over time

The diagram below illustrates our long-term vision for a more connected, personalised health ecosystem

The individual - not the organisation - sits at the centre of this connected ecosystem.

Initial Focus

Recover & Thrive is being developed as a personalised health platform designed to support better health, recovery and wellbeing over time

Our initial focus is brain health and cognitive wellbeing, where meaningful changes are often difficult to identify, track and understand using traditional approaches

We are initially working with individuals and clinicians navigating cognitive challenges associated with perimenopause and menopause, where symptoms such as brain fog, reduced concentration, memory concerns and cognitive fatigue can significantly impact quality of life

By focusing on this area first, we aim to develop and validate a longitudinal approach that can ultimately support a broader range of health conditions and recovery journeys

Our long-term vision is to create a personalised health platform that helps individuals, clinicians and carers better understand health trajectories, recovery and thriving across the lifespan.

Designed With Clinicians, Not Just For Clinicians

Healthcare professionals are often expected to make important decisions based on fragmented information, brief consultations and limited visibility into what happens between appointments

Recover & Thrive is being developed to help clinicians gain a clearer longitudinal understanding of patient health, recovery and wellbeing

Potential benefits include:

  • Better visibility into changes over time
  • Improved patient engagement between appointments
  • More informed conversations and shared decision-making
  • Earlier identification of meaningful changes in health and wellbeing
  • A more connected view of recovery journeys

We are currently engaging clinicians, healthcare professionals and researchers who would like to help shape the future development of the platform

Scientific Foundations & Leadership

Founded by Dr. Ruth Mary Allan (PhD, Cantab), Recover & Thrive integrates elite-level neuroscience, behavioural science, and human physiology

As a Certified Brain Health Professional, Trainer and Trauma-Coach, as well as leveraging 20+ years of experience leading complex transformation programmes in regulated sectors (UKAEA, Defence, Energy), our platform is built for resilience, security, and real-world adoption

Recover & Thrive was inspired not only by my professional experience, but also by seeing first-hand how difficult it can be for individuals, families and clinicians to piece together fragmented health information over time

That experience is deeply personal as well as professional, reinforcing my belief that better health outcomes require better connected care

Built on Science. Designed Around People

Recover & Thrive is being developed in collaboration with clinicians, recovery specialists and experts across brain health, functional medicine and cognitive performance

The platform is designed to support - not replace - clinical decision-making, helping provide clearer longitudinal insight between consultations and across recovery journeys

Patient privacy, ethical AI development and responsible health data stewardship are central to the platform’s design
