Connecting and Developing Relationships with Russ Johns | E9
Nov 29, 2021Russ Johns, the host of the Pirate Broadcast, joins Dr. Ruth Allan on the ninth Episode of Brain Health: Unchaining Your Pain.
Russ is passionate about connecting and developing relationships and wants to help others equally passionate about doing the same thing.
From his rollercoaster of a journey to become the wonderfully wise and kind person he is today, Russ firmly believes that kindness is remarkable, smiles are free, and YOU have gifts worth sharing.
After falling three stories while working on a billboard, Russ talks about how he overcame his injuries physically and mentally and rebuilt his identity that he felt he’d lost.
After losing a cousin, his younger sister, and his son, we discuss the importance of permitting yourself to grieve. “Not every day is rainbows and unicorns.”
When life doesn’t go how you expect it to, he explains you have a choice. Choosing pity or purpose, faith or fear, requires you to believe in something that isn’t quite in front of you.
“You can do a lot more than you think you can.”
